GRAZ, Austria, 4 October, 2022: Habyt, the world's leading co-living provider headquartered in Berlin, continues to expand worldwide, entering the Austrian market, and opening its first building in Graz.
The new development at Waagner-Biro Strasse, with a total area of approx. 6,600 square meters, hosts 218 units and is located in the Lend district, as part of the My Smart City Graz neighborhood. The building is expected to open in the first half of 2023.
With a mix of two to four-room shared apartments and single bedroom studios, Habyt will offer tenants highly-flexible renting options for mid- to long term stays. The project consists of four buildings, with one building complex being fully-operated by Habyt.
All apartments are fully furnished with everything tenants need for a comfortable stay, allowing them to move in and settle bringing only their personal items along. All flats have either patios and small backyards on the ground floor, or balconies.
Tenants staying at Waagner-Biro Strasse will enjoy a true co-living experience, with the building housing 9 fully-equipped common areas with working spaces, comfortable seating, and large kitchens that allow residents to come together to work, cook and spend time in a shared space. Other amenities include exercise rooms, multiple lounges, as well as a large courtyard, promoting a healthy lifestyle. The concept targets young professionals aged 20-35, as well as digital nomads seeking to be part of an inclusive, like-minded community.
The newly built Smart-City is a sustainable energy-efficient, resource-saving and low-emission urban quarter that offers a high standard of life to residents for living, working, and spending leisure time. Residents can benefit from good transport connections, easy access to the old town of Graz, multiple green spaces, shops and other amenities located within walking distance from the building.
Lasse Haarstark, Global Expansion / MD Germany & Netherlands at Habyt, said: “As we already established a strong performing portfolio in Germany, we are now eager to further grow our presence in Austria and Switzerland to give the entire DACH region access to our product.”
Habyt's locations currently include close to 10,000 units spread across 20 cities worldwide, throughout Germany, the Netherlands, Spain, Italy, Portugal, France and Switzerland. The company’s recent expansion into the Asian market through a merger with Hmlet - the largest provider of flexible living in the Asia-Pacific region also added Singapore, Hong Kong and Japan to Habyt’s map.
Guido Bianco, COO at Habyt: “We are very excited to open Austria with such an amazing project in the innovative district of Graz’s “Smart-City”. We will provide more than 200 tenants with a state of the art home, with many amenities and access to great public transport”
